Private space is firstly and primarily a live video performance happening December 13th at the Someday Lounge in Portland Oregon. The video performance critiques the current media culture by blurring the line between here/now and the cyber-verse. The performance does so using 6 live feedback cameras and the art/media repository, located in this forum. Any content is viable: you tube, any Internet, CD, DVD, VCR any content. The Content can also be suggested from inside the event via cell phone, the internet and can be viewed live on the Someday Lounge Virtual Stage. Go to the art/media repository to participate.
There will be a body painting booth in the Private Space installation that will be used as content for video synthesis and presentation. If you are interested in being a model in the body painting let us know. Also anyone will be able to have a digital caricature done and this can also be synthesized and used as Live video content.
The Æ-Table is an elegant and functional workspace for multi touch (MT.) The table is an aesthetically pleasing station for modeling MT programming environments. MT is a new and blossoming field that leaves many questions unanswered about the future of Human computer interaction. The table works in two light spectrums: visible and infra red to create a feedback loop that monitors user interaction. This project would not be possible without open source communities such as Natural User Interface , reactable and many others.

We are taking suggestions for the type of applications that you would like to see on the table at the event December 13th. We are also announcing a development competition to see who can make the coolest application to modulate the live video performance. The table output will be sent to the video mixer for display in the Live video performance.
If you have an art project or installation that will be ready or avalible by December, 13th, 2008 and you think that it fits into Private Space let us know.
Any body is welcome to submit an exhibition request. However, Social Lubrication specializes in computing arts. If your exhibit is not a computer art project you can still have your piece indirectly displayed in the Live Video Performance. If you don't have video footage, I'm willing to shoot some for you and if you have pictures they work too.
